There’s something about velvet that makes me feel like royalty. The soft smooth fabric makes me want to attend a royal function in England, or simply walk around with a tiara like Duchess Kate.

I scoured the shelves at Ross, Stein Mart, and Marshall’s last weekend looking for the perfect dress for a charity event and low and behold, I found the ultimate diamond in the rough.
